Founded in 1926, the Owasco Fire Department proudly protects approximately 3750 people living in an area of 37 square miles in Cayuga County, NY. The department operates out of 2 stations that service a primarily residential area. Our department is a public department, whose members are on a volunteer status. We have an ISO rating of 4.

 

We responded to 363 calls last year, mostly EMS. Between Station 1 and Station 2, the Owasco Fire Department operates 2 BLS Ambulances, 4 Engines, 1 Heavy Rescue, 1 Light Rescue, 1 Fire Boat and 2 Rescue Boats. Our main radio frequency is 46.100.
